The Rail to Trail - South event (the third in the series), brings us to East Sussex. Although actually starting and finishing in Kent, the majority of your running will be in East Sussex. We've got a spectacular course through the High Weald area of outstanding natural beauty and we aim to prove to you how it lives up to this title! There are well marked routes sending you along rivers, up and down hills, along a disused railway line (the Forest Way Country Park) and through woodland. As always there are three distances to choose from: 10(ish)k, half(ish) marathon or marathon(ish). This really is a trail runner's delight, so sign up now to avoid the disappointment of missing out. The marathon will be two loops of the half marathon route. You will then know exactly what is in store for your second loop; where to ease off and where to really open up, giving you the best chance of achieving one of those legendary negative splits!

Sign up for a single race or be bold, enter the whole series and get a 15% discount.

At 50 mins, the journey from London takes you far away from the hustle, bustle and stress of city life. Our event base is a 10 minute walk from the station at the Ashurst McDermott village hall, Ashurst road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN3 9TE.

You will receive your race number and electronic chip timer at registration. There will also be a small amount of race day paper work for you to complete, so don't leave it too last minute and have a mad rush before the race has even begun! The race briefing is mandatory for all runners and will take place immediately before the race starts. This is where you will be given important information about race rules, safety and last minute course changes.

Start times are staggered to limit any possibility of congestion along the route. Your friends can sign up to different distance runs but not have to wait around for too long for each other once you've finished. There will though, be some refreshments available at race HQ and you can help support others over the finish line. Share your running high and excitement with strangers and friends alike!

As with all the Rail to Trail events, the event is set up so that you can travel to and from by train. This helps limit our impact on the environment, means that you don't have to worry about driving tired and you can also enjoy a celebratory drink after you've finished! However, should you need to drive, local parking is available. There is a pay and display car park at the station. Obviously, parking is limited and as such we are strong advocates of car sharing. Please see our facebook page to arrange this - great for the environment and great for making new trail running friends!
