Welcome to Trailscape

It’s about the opportunity to run in some of the UKs most beautiful terrain, love the freedom to run your own race and live the spirit of the trail. It’s about breaking the mould, getting out of that rut and experiencing a whole new running adventure.

Trailscape was born out of the desire to open the doors to trail running and make it easier for runners from all backgrounds to be able to experience the buzz of the trail. Trailscape Rail to Trail South: Weather and Travel update

Weather Update.....

You may have realised that we have recently been experiencing extremely wet weather!! Whilst this makes the fun and mud even more marvellous we do want you to be prepared! The recent weather has made the trails very muddy and wet underfoot. We're hoping that the weather improves and the ground can drain to improve conditions but even so, it is likely to be extremely wet and muddy and this picture is probably the best you can hope to look afterwards! With that in mind, please do come prepared and bring some warm, dry clothes to put on after your run!

Trains.....

Further to previous emails about the rail upheaval on raceday we wanted to let those of you travelling from London know about an alternative, faster option! Trains run regularly from London Victoria to Tonbridge (44 mins) and then it is about 20 minutes in a taxi from the station. If you want to complete the journey solely by public transport, you will need to use the rail service to Oxted and then bus service from Oxted to Ashurst Station/Bald Faced Stag as trains will not be running directly to Ashurst on raceday.

See the Southern trains website for updates on your journey. Please arrive at least 30-45 minutes prior to briefing to allow time for registration.

Car Share.....

Some of you have been great at offering out space in your car to fellow racers and it is very much appreciated! Please keep your generosity going and get to make some new trail buddies before your run has even begun! Please post on our Facebook page if you would like to find or offer a lift and we will try our best to match people! Post here

There is no car parking at the hall but there is car parking at the train station and we have arranged additional car parking at  Ashurst and Blackham sportsground which is a 5 minute walk from the HQ. Click here for more information and directions.

Taxi.....

If you are averse to buses there are a number of local taxi firms in Oxted and Tonbridge to help you complete your journey. It is approximately 9 miles from Tonbrige or 15 miles from Oxted. Please see below for a small selection of the taxi companies:
